Information Security released an alert about several CryptoWall infections that were detected last week. Users on CLAS-managed machines should reboot to ensure that the updates have taken effect.
Posted Thu 7/02/2015: Information Security has detected several CryptoWall infections this week. CryptoWall is ransomware that encrypts files on the infected computer (including shares if accessible) and demands the user pay the ransom to get the files restored
Upon further investigation, several of these infections were subject to exploits against Adobe Flash. ISO recommends all admins update installations of Flash to the latest version which can be found at http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
