Web Drives Moving, March 4th

CLAS IT will be moving the volume hosting our “traditional” web sites to a new location on Monday, March 4th.

Update 3/1/2013: Mac users with 10.6 (Snow Leopard) or below will need to update their web paths to the location listed below.

These are the web-pages and sites hosted on the CLAS IT “I: Drive”; if you do not have an I: drive, or you are a WordPress user, this move will not impact you.

Windows users connected to UFAD, and Mac Users using the DFS path, will have their drive mapping automatically changed. Mac users not using the DFS path, and Windows users that are not joined to UFAD, will need to change their settings.  Our documentation will be changed to reflect the new locations at the time of the move, those directories are:

  • Windows: \\ad.ufl.edu\clas\web
  • Mac OS 10.7 and higher: cifs://ad.ufl.edu/clas/web
  • Mac OS 10.6 and below: cifs://clasit.fs.osg.ufl.edu/ls-web-data/web

Windows and Mac users can choose to update their mappings prior to the move, the above listed entries will work.
