Install Acrobat Pro Using CLAS Software Center

Per the updated regulations for ADA compliance, UF Software Licensing Services has negotiated with Adobe to offer free access to Acrobat Pro until May 31st, 2026. This access is for faculty only. To obtain access from SLS, please navigate to their website and complete the required form– UF Software Licensing.

These steps are only applicable to CLAS IT managed Windows computers.

Once UF SLS approves your access, please reach out to CLAS IT to let us know which computer(s) you want Acrobat installed on. CLAS IT will push the installation to the CLAS Software Center application on your CLAS IT managed Windows computer.

To provide your computer information to CLAS IT or if you cannot access the CLAS Software Center application, please submit a ticket to CLAS IT here.

Installation Steps:

On your UF supported Windows computer, you can locate the CLAS Software Center application on your desktop. Double-click the app icon to load the software listings.

Once opened, you’ll see a grid layout of different applications. Locate Adobe Creative Cloud 2026 from the list and select it.

Select the Install button to launch the installation process. The installation status will show Installed once it completes.

Creative Cloud is an application dashboard where users can install and update Adobe programs. You will need to launch Creative Cloud to install Acrobat Pro. Creative Cloud will validate the license applied to your UF email.

To launch Creative Cloud, open the Start Menu by selecting the Windows icon in the taskbar. In the Start Menu, select All > to display all installed applications.

Select Adobe Creative Cloud to launch the application. If you have Acrobat Reader installed, it will be removed and replaced by Acrobat Pro

Once Creative Cloud opens, you will be prompted to sign in. Sign in with your UF email.

For account type, select Company or School Account

You will be redirected to the UF login page. Input your UF credentials and complete the 2FA prompt. After properly validating your UF account, the Creative Cloud dashboard will load. In the left-hand navigation, select Apps.

Locate Acrobat from the listing. Select Install to start the Acrobat Pro installation.

The installation may take up to 15 minutes. Creative Cloud will display a pop-up notification when the install completes.

Navigate back to the Start Menu application list and you should see Adobe Acrobat listed along with Creative Cloud.

Your Adobe software license is tied to your UF email. Since you have already signed in to Creative Cloud, you are ready to use Acrobat Pro!
