Dropbox Now Available to All Faculty

UF Dropbox for Faculty enables academic and research collaboration using the same easy interface and functionality as Dropbox Personal and Dropbox Business.  With this service, faculty can easily share files, across campus or worldwide.

UF Dropbox is a safe and secure way to share data.  Unlike Personal Dropbox, Dropbox for Faculty has been approved for storing some types of restricted data as well as other forms of UF data.  During the signup process there will be a small training program to help distinguish the different types of data that can be safely stored in Dropbox and whether they can be shared within or outside of the university.

While UF Dropbox currently advertises a 20GB storage size, this is available as a resource for faculty and more space is freely available as needed.  However, remember the service is a shared resource and consistently high usage requirements (over 250GB) should be discussed with your local IT.
