Secure Surveys with REDCap

Researchers at the university that need to collect data via a survey have a new option available to them, REDCap. Unlike Survey Monkey and Qualtrics, REDCap has been approved by the university for collecting and handling Restricted Data.

Data that has been collected in REDCap can be exported into many different formats including SAS, Stata, SPSS, R, and CSV (Excel). REDCap also includes project calendaring/scheduling as well as support for surveys that use branching logic.

REDCap software and end-user support are provided at no-cost to UF PI’s by the support team in the Clinical and Translational Science Institute.

Is REDCap right for your study?

REDCap has been used across a broad spectrum of research and works best for research projects that have a number of well-defined time points. REDCap Support Services, provided by CTSI, provide free consultation for investigators with mature projects. The team in the CTSI can help you to determine if REDCap is a good fit for your project.

For a fee, CTSI also offers a REDCap configuration service, which can develop and deliver a fully operational REDCap project to researchers. The configuration service saves investigators time, while ensuring that best practices are applied during the development of the project.
