CLAS Firefox 3.6 users will be upgraded to the latest version of Firefox starting this week.
Since Firefox 3.6.x will no longer get security updates an upgrade to Firefox 14 will be pushed automatically to CLAS-managed workstations starting this Wednesday, August 1st. Your bookmarks and browsing history will be imported into the new version during the upgrade.
Viewing Toolbars and Menu Items
The streamlined look in the latest version of Firefox means that certain options may not be visible by default.
You can view your imported bookmarks, by clicking the Bookmarks icon. To show the bookmarks toolbar, click the Bookmarks icon, then select ‘View Bookmarks Toolbar’.
All menu items and options can now be accessed by clicking the orange Firefox button at the top of the screen or by pressing the Alt key.
A note about MyUFL
This updated version of Firefox is not yet officially supported by the myUFL system. If you experience any problems, you may need to switch to another supported browser.
