Time & Labor Approvers: Take Required Training Before PeopleSoft Upgrade

Faculty and staff with security roles will need to complete online training before September 18th.

A major upgrade of the UF PeopleSoft implementation will take place on September 18th. Because of some of the changes that will be coming through the upgrade, training will be required in order to maintain certain roles and access privileges, including roles necessary for Time and Labor processing and approval.

Training Requirements

  • Training will NOT be required for employees to enter time and leave – although job aids and instruction guides will be available.
  • Training will be required for most security roles, including a brief online class for time and labor approvers. This may include staff and faculty members who supervise graduate assistants, post-docs, or OPS employees.

Instructor-led “question and answer” sessions will be available for those who need additional information after completing the online training.

How to Enroll Online

The training is now available online.  For Time & Labor approvers and processors, the approver will need to take the online courses PST915 and PST916 and then complete the online assessment in order to maintain their access roles through the UF portal.  The exams are straightforward, and the whole process should only take 30-60 minutes, but if the approver does not go through the process they will lose their security role after the upgrade.

All of the myUFL HR and payroll system training will be accessed via myUFL by navigating to My Self Service > Training and Development  > Request Training Enrollment.  For Time & Labor they will need to enroll in the following two courses:

  • PST915 Time & Labor 9.1
  • PST916 Time & Labor Approvers 9.1
