UFIT announced in May that LSS will begin the process of transitioning from Sakai to Canvas. This transition is slated to be completed by summer term 2016, which means faculty will have just under two years to make the transition.
UFIT understands that faculty have spent considerable time developing their online courses, and to make this transition painless, the Center for Instructional Technology and Training (CITT) has team of people to help migrate your existing Sakai course to Canvas. The CITT team estimates it can migrate 100 courses a month but encourages faculty to begin the process of migrating their course well before the summer 2016 deadline.
