UF Connect (SharePoint)

CLAS IT provides SharePoint sites for CLAS administration and departments. These sites are available to faculty and staff for collaboration and document management.

Service Support

CLAS IT is responsible for managing the site collection and providing support to department IT contacts.  CLAS IT will set up permissions for department-level sites.
End-user support is provided by each department IT contact and training is offered by IT Training.

Service Hours

On-call support is available Monday – Friday from 8am – 5pm by service requests at or by phone.


This is a free service to UF provided by UF Connect.

Delivery Requirements

Department IT contact must contact CLAS IT for a site and must have approval by the department chair. Users must be added to an AD security groups for admin access. Admin users can create and grant access to sub sites.

Recovery Strategy

The UF Connect team manages the infrastructure and backups for the SharePoint farm. In the event of a service failure, CLAS IT will contact the Connect team.

Standard provisioning turnaround

Standard is two business days after reviewing request and requirements with the client.

Standard request turnaround

Standard request turnaround for is one business day. Request tickets will get a response as soon as possible during business hours.
