A recent Microsoft patch to Windows 8.1 is causing compatibility issues with the Cisco AnyConnect VPN client. A workaround is available which restores full use of the client for Windows 8.1 users. UF experienced a widespread outage for IT services on Saturday. GatorLink mail and other services were affected.
UFIT is looking into reports of Office 365 email users reporting problems accessing their mailboxes. This problem seems to be affecting only some UF Office 365 email users; others remain unaffected. UFIT is working with Microsoft to correct this issue. View the Alert

UF users should be aware of several phishing email scam that attempts to convince unsuspecting recipients to follow a link to a non-UF web site. The links take users to a web form that is a copy of UF’s Outlook Web Access login page. An example of the phishing message is available on the UF
All e-mail through smtp.ufl.edu between 11:15am and 12:53pm lost. Update: 3:30pm, July 1: UFIT is working to identify all those who sent email that was affected by this disruption. We will send notifications to these people informing them that their email was not delivered and that they should attempt to send any affected email again.

A critical vulnerability that impacts all versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer is actively being exploited by malicious attackers. Microsoft has not yet released patch for this vulnerability. The UF Information Security Office recommends that users avoid using Internet Explorer when possible until a patch is made available. Users should consider using an alternate web browser

There is a campus-wide issue with email delivery using off-campus accounts and Gatorlink accounts. UF IT has confirmed the issue with slow email delivery and submission through smtp.ufl.edu.
