Other Programs
Depending on your department, you may have additional software available. These programs may be automatically “pushed” to your computer upon start-up, or your computer contact may install them directly to your computer.
If you need a software program installed that is not on this list, please contact us or your computer contact. Please make sure you have the proof of license, as well as the software media.
Software Licensing
All software installed on UF computers must be licensed for either business or academic use. The only exceptions are for Open-Source or Freeware software. Any Shareware software must be licensed according to the author’s guidelines.
Proof of License
Every unit is responsible for its licenses, and must be able to provide the proof of license for every installed software package. Copies of the purchase order, or invoices from the company noting the license key and designated recipient will usually suffice. In the event of a software audit, CLASnet will help your unit by providing proof of licenses for any software licensed through the college or campus site licenses. We strongly recommend that all unit licenses are maintained by one individual within the department, preferably a staff member.
