Purpose
CLAS IT follows the Microsoft Software Policy agreement as prescribed by the University of Florida. The software is an Enterprise version which is only available to CLAS IT technicians or technicians with UF approved access to the Microsoft Volume License Site. Self-installs can be done on CLAS managed machines through the CLAS IT Software Service Center.
Scope
This policy applies to the Enterprise version of Microsoft software, such as Windows and Office programs.
Policy
- CLAS IT follows the Microsoft Software Policy agreement as prescribed by the University of Florida. As such, installation of Microsoft software on UF-owned machines that apply to the Microsoft-UF license agreement must be installed by CLAS IT technicians. CLAS IT does not distribute copies of Microsoft software to users.
- Software for home use is available for download from the GatorCloud Microsoft Software web-site.
